440ml can from Aldi (£1.59):
Black & opaque with a 1.5cm, bubbly tan head como foamy on the surface, holding relatively well too. Darker malts & hints of chocolate open the nose alongside light hops & touches of caramel before some smokey notes appear once the beer opens up. It's more smokey tasting with some semi bitter malts & an earthy bitterness without any of the hops from the nose though. It's quite basic with a medium, moderately carbonated body; very average & not enough hops for the style.
