Deep black color with a thick beige nitro head with eternal retention.
Predominant aroma of chocolate, licorice and a light tobacco (if it is not external here in the Antares pub).
Pleasant flavor with predominant notes of licorice, cola, husk, earthy hops, mild citrusy, some lactic and roasted malts. Dry and bitter aftertaste with a lingering roasted note.
Medium body, it feels heavier given nitro. Appropriate carbonation.
Well executed Nitro Stout. Flavorful and pleasant. I would sure have this again.

Antares has started its production as a microbrewery that dispenses its own beers directly to customers .It has grown now to reach a medium production, we can say these beers are something in the middle of between industrial and craft beer.
This imperial stout tastes good but nothing to be very proud of.
It has a good creamy foam not very persistent, poor hops and malty aroma, roasted grain are obviously present and it has not a very hoppy final.
Mouthfeel is good, average, taking into a count that this beer has 8,5% alc/vol.

Tasted in Antares bar in Mendoza, Argentina.
Dark brown to black colour with good thick creamy head. Head faded a bit quickly. Roasted malt aromas.
Very smooth, no bitterness present. Far too thin for a stout in my opinion though although this makes it more drinkable. Considering the strength it´s suprising how little alcohol flavour comes through. Taste is quite reminiscent of an authentic Irish Stout.

Usually down here in Argentina the beers tend to lean towards the malty and sweet side. So this cream stout is not quite to style, but more dry and creamy texture-wise. Sort of like Murphy's. They said that they were using a special system to tap and serve. Does seem that way but the staff didn't know too much about it. Served with a very creamy tan head and lots of lace with sheeting. Very well balanced flavors of dark malts, a little black patent, roasty and hint of sweetness. Almost but not quite chewy texture as well. No hop. Great satisfying finish. No boozyness.
