Clear dark blonde hue. Thin, soapy head leaves no lace. The aroma is comprised of faint herbal hops, clean husky grain and subtle, simple pilsner malt sweetness. Tame aromawise. Pseudo toasty dextrin malt and residual sweetness in flavor is initially offset by moderate, crisp hop bitterness. Understated herbal hop flavor. Sweetness augments and becomes honey like mid palate. Very light malt character. Softly viscous and slightly thin in mouthfeel, yet seemingly underattenuated. Finishes clean, with lingering bready sweetness. A mellow, underwhelming pilsner, that's slightly sweet in overall character. A touch more hop bitterness and flavor would have helped contrast the residual unfermented sugar and lend needed dryness. Regardless, Powercat's a fine brew for those who don't nitpick and certainly succeeds in its intended game time quaffability.
