Clear dark brown in color, w/ a thin head. Smooth roasted barley, chocolate malt and mild coffee aroma. Fairly sharp black patent flavor upfront, but well - rounded crystal malt sweetness and chocolate flavors round it all out. Hop bitterness is fairly high for style, but provides a nice contrast to the roasted grain bitterness. A bit thin in body and a bit overcarbonated. Finishes quite dry w/ clean roasted flavors lingering. This certainly isn't a robust porter, and seems to more of a lighter brown porter. More body and this would be excellent.
