A - Poured out a somewhat cloudy, golden-yellow color with a small, bubbly, white head of foam. It left behind little to no lace.
S - It smelled of clove, banana and yeast with mild wheat notes.
T - Nice sweet wheat flavor with spice clove and yeast kicks. There was a very subtle banana flavor with touches of other fruits.
M - It was crisp and sharp with a dry finish. A light bodied ale.
D - This is a nice attempt at the Hefeweizen style. The fruit/banana flavors are not as strong as a true German hefe.

Turbid yellow in hue w/ a thin, but tight head that manages loose lace. Mellow clove dominates the aroma, with lightly grainy and tart wheat secondary. Subtle pear like fruitness is present as well. Bready sweetness upfront in flavor gives way to crisp tartness, mild clove and hints of banana. Moderately bodied, and smooth, yet light on the palate. Finishes bready, lightly sweet, w/ a lingering lemony Tettanger hop flavor. Although not a true German hefeweizen, this brew was intended to be a hybrid of American and German hefeweizens, and succeeded well at that. It's akin to Bell's Oberon albeit with greater yeast character but subdued hop character. Very unique and tasty.
