This one comes out a cloudy dark brown, not quite black, under a 1.5 finger tan head that stays a while and leaves lovely sheets of lace throughout the experience. The nose is mild but dominated by caramel, sweet and crisp. The mouth is fairly prickly and slightly sticky. There is lots of sweet caramel in this classic dunkel package. Nice bready malt backbone carries the caramel well, with a touch of sour lemon just to keep things interesting. I couldn't detect any hops at first, but then a bit of bite appeared deep into the aftertaste. This is good stuff - a beer Vladivostok can be proud of.
