Ordered to go with my pizza, on to the beer:
The beer has an opaque appearance with a paper-thin head on top. The edges have a lighter brown color. The nose is sweet with some lactose qualities. Its taste is light, but has enough qualities tom make it interesting the worth the drinking. Semi-sweet chocolate is dominant here, the back being hopped modestly. Roasted tones are faint but detectable. The body is a bit thin, but I didn't find any off-flavors in this brew. Yeah, I could do this beer again if I came back to this pizza joint.

Consumed 04/28/08.
Very dark brown with lighter brown highlights. No carbonation whatsoever - no head, no lacing.
Aroma is of dark roasted malts - a standard porter aroma.
The body is a little thin and watery, though within the range of porters I've had. Flavor is good: dark chocolate malts up front, some nuttiness towards the end. A non-hop coffee-like bitterness finishes everything up.
A little carbonation would have done wonders for this beer, which seemed lifeless and still.
