Drinks hot.. And not from the alcohol. The green pepper turns to a bit of jalapeƱo, but it's subdued by a sweetness for balance. Not ur typical BSPA, but hey, that's been done to world class standards already.

I had this on tap at the brewpub, served chilled in a glass.
The color is deep golden with murky appearance and thin white head. The smell has a peppery yet sweet floral scent accented by a light belgian phenolic odor in the yeast. The feel is dry yet still full of body with spicy yet balanced impression of malt with medium low carbonation.
The taste is of green pepper -like bell pepper meshed with light malt and earthy green flavor with a slight yeast element and followed by a dry alcoholic flavor in the finish . Overall this is interesting to try but did not exceed my expectations - kind of unique in the sense of flavor combination.
tried again recently - original rating 3.65 unsure of individual attribute scores
I consider this a a pretty good chile beer - the base tripel is pretty decent with a nice level of heat without going overboard -I recommend this for those who like pepper beer but 1 glass is probably enough

Draft offering at bullfrog. The brew appears a hazy copper color with a white frothy topping that retains well.
The aroma is green and peppery. Lots of phenolics which somewhat distracts from the pepper inclusion with a young yeastiness stuck all throughout the nose.
The taste includes some green pepper flavoring, young yeasty notes and a warming capsaicin burn. Fruity pear and apple hints come out with clove showing the first sight of this beer having a belgian yeast profile.
This is medium to full bodied with a light amount of carbonation. The pepper really brings out the rough edges and green yeastiness of this brew. I wanted to like it but it just didnt do it for me.
