when i visited, this was called the "Vintage Old Bruin with Tart Cherries".. in a 10oz snifter for a measley $4.
beer arrives a reddish-brown with cute ring of small bubbles. smells woody and reminds me of chocolate covered cherries. proper temperature evokes all sorts of floral sweet flavors from this brew. toffee aftertaste from a subtle fruit body.. light and extremely drinkable. not overpowering like a sour or a lambic. slight bite on the initial sip is there to remind you that the cherries are in the room, but the 18 mos. and wood back smooth out the ride.
wish they would have put this in a growler for me.

Blended with cherry puree. Works. Wonderful colour, aroma. Little head. Sipped nicely but flavored beers not my preference, and would need at least one more mate to finish. Belgian style with yeast. Good experimentation effort points for this brewpub.
