Think looks like porter but hits the palate like Nebbiolo.

I like sour beers if done exceptionally well. I think it's difficult to match strong sourness with malt and I just don't think this experiment worked. I had a taste and that was enough.

A nice wild ale that isn't overly acidic. Subtle cocoa flavor, but definitely present.

Bullfrog does a great job with their Flanders red ales and variants. 5 out of 10 on the sour scale with just the right amount of cocoa. Awesome beer and if I had been getting a growler to go (picking from the 8 beers I tried today) this beer would have been my pick for sure.

I had this on tap at Hunger N Thirst served chilled in a goblet.
The color is dark cocoa color with thin tan head and no lace with moderate haze. The smell is tangy cherry in the initial smell with nutty earthy cocoa supplementary in the aroma with mild yeast.
The feel is a nice mix of cocoa and cherry with tart and dry as the nutty cocoa in the background with slight funk element and cherry skin with flavor lacking much in the way of malt sweetness with cocoa flavor balanced or a little lower in the taste than the cherry. Overall I like the combination of flavors and slight tannic quality with the mix of cherry and cocoa making it enjoyable yet not in a dessert-beer way.
