The brewer characterized it as a Belgian [Style] Strong Ale, but I feel that my choice of style is more appropriate.
It came with a decent white head above a golden liquid. The nose gave off notes of flowers and honey. The first sip evidenced a HOT mouthfeel that gave way to a lightly spicy finish and an absolutely warming afterglow. This would be perfect for a cold winter's evening at home. It also had a very interesting sweetness, which the brewer revealed as being born of coriander and orange peel, but neither flavor is particularly assertive or even evident.
