Short Review. This one wasn't good and it could have been a bad batch or possibly infected. It started off as a gusher and it really foamed up even more when poured into a glass. The smell was a little lemon like, but it had also had an off cardboard like aroma that carried on into the taste and it really held this beer back. The drinkability wasn't that good at all and I ended up drain pouring it after drinking half. I wouldn't get this one again unless I knew that the issues I have with it are fixed.

-hopped with amarillo and citra. Draft at source served in shaker pint.
A: Bright orange coloring, frothy milky head of 0.5 inches, standard affair capping for bullfrog, with a silent carbonation factor. Head diminishes rather quickly but provides a decent sheet coating on the vessel.
S: The nose is bright and fresh of oranges, tropical fruit and dank pineapple and mangoes. Soft background of pine and sweet malts with a nice level of intensity for an ipl. sweet citrus in flashes.
T: The flavor was big on citrussy-grass hops. dried tropical notes follow with a pale malt backing. Big dry citrus, flowery and grassy and dried lemon notes from the amarillo give this a pretty big bang of dry hoppiness on the finish.
M: Lighter medium body, crisp lager like feel, with a smooth texture and dry finish.
O: Crisp drinker, big on grassy-citrus hops and tropical fruit give this a big bang for its buck. Big dryness and very good per style.

Picked up a growler after trying a taster at the frog.
Poured into a pint glass: color is translucent gold/copper, head is brighter white with fine bubbles that dissipate to ring and very light lacing.
Smell is a huge burst of lemon/citrus rind then some lighter citrus bitterness, malt is clean and not too noticeable.
Taste is very citrusy upfront, and surprisingly so - that citrus like presence is difficult to do and do well - and it is done well with an enticing aroma and flavor blend - though I think the lager qualities are hidden in the mix of this beer, but the flavor is still beer with citrus on the quality side.
Mouthfeel is a bit on the sharper side for lager, but understandable as this is identified as an IPL style.
Overall a good beer, funky mix of flavors, hard to review to style with the blending of citrus flavors but I'm glad we picked up a growler full.
