Described as a Dark Farmhouse Strong Ale. A mash up of Farmhouse Ale & Belgian Strong Dark Ale. Carbonation & mouthfeel of Farmhouse Ale with muted Belgian Dark Ale flavors and nose. Drinks very easy for 9%.

Had on a sip of a draft pour and picked up a growler because it is one of the few new/different beers at the Bullfrog recently...
Poured from growler into a small chalice: color is black, dark, head is tan with small bubble and decent top, dissipates to nothing.
Smell is
Taste is fairly neutral for the style: moderate roast, hints of belgian yeast qualities but not much depth or funkiness. Lingering flavor is neutral grain and light roast.
Mouthfeel is on the sweeter side, expected for style but a not a complex feel or presence with interplay of sweet flavors and dryness.
Overall a good beer, but not very deep in flavor as many others of this style may have. Lacking raisin or other dried fruit qualities and lacking some yeast phenol punch. Oh well, good to have some variety at the Bullfrog.
