Growler from Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport, PA.
This one pours a light and clear purplish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
There’s an authentic but measured blueberry presence here, with piney hops and some lemon.
This isn’t traditional in any way possible, but it’s still really tasty. It’s quite hoppy as Kolsches go, with lots of clean bitter pine, and a long bitter finish. There’s some nice berry sweetness to counteract the bitterness. There’s also a lemony bitterness there, too.
This is light bodied, and pretty clean, and with a nice drinkability.
I wasn’t sure that I would like this - but it worked out reasonably well.
