A-Hazy brownish copper with a thin off white head. Head reduces to a thin veil and leaves spotty lace.
S-Fairly aromatic with nice touches of banana, clove, light roasted malt and a touch of chocolate.
T-Toasted wheat malt in the forefront with decent support of banana, clove, and a hint of milk chocolate. Bit of earthy hops in the drying finish.
M-Medium-light bodied and a little lacking. Could use a bit more robustness. Decent lingering flavours.
D-Pretty solid. Nice aroma and taste offset the slight lack of body. A little tweaking and this one could be a real winner.

Pours a extremely dark chocolate color with some ruby highlights coming out around the bottom and a thin head of off-white foam. Retains nicely, leaving big cascade of lacing down the sides of the glass that doesn't stick. The aroma is wheat, malt sweetness, bananas, clove, and maybe a touch of dark fruits somewhere in the back as well.
The taste is chocolate and caramel malts with a bit of clove spice mixed in off the bat that gives way some light notes of bread and banana yeastiness that float along towards the backend. Finishes sweet and dry on the lips. The mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with a watery sense at times that floats in and out of the overall feel. Carbonation overall though remains fairly easygoing at least.
Decent Dunkle here, with nice some tasty notes of bread and banana that reminded me of the banana bread that the wife just made the other day. Good flavors and decently quaffable. Nice to see a new German style on at the Frog.
