A-Slightly hazy, brilliant golden yellow with a thin white head that leaves very nice lace.
S-Belgian yeast spiciness and a bit of sweet biscuit malt. Subtle wafts of earthy/fruity hops sneak in a t the end.
T-Spicy character much more prevalent on the palate. The yeast/hop combo offers a very sharp spice kick. Backing sweet biscuit malt helps to bring this one into balance a bit. A touch of green apple in the finish. This brew however is all about the spicy kick though.
M-Medium-light crisp, sharp with a dry finish. Nice lingering spiciness.
D-Very dry but very nice, I like it a lot. Good stuff a true representation of the style. This brew has quickly become a new favorite of mine at The Frog.

On tap at the brewpub on 12/27/08. Served in a Cervoise goblet.
The beer menu indicated that this was a version of their Billtown Blonde that was brewed with Belgian pale malts. Named in honor of the town of Bruges in the West Flanders region of Belgium.
Pours a clear gold with a thin brite-white head. Retains around the edges with a nice flareup that leaves solid swathes of lacing behind down the sides of the glass. The aroma is very lively, with notes of light bread, fruity citrus, spices, and a touch of floral hops.
The taste is light Belgian pale malt bready sweetness, citrus, and some floral feeling hop bitterness. Nice dry and spicy finish. The mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with a softer and more moderate feeling carbonation that works well with the lighter flavors in this. Very pleasant feeling.
Nicely done. They do extremely solid takes on Belgian styles at the Bullfrog and this was no different. Lightly crisp, fruity, and spicy, this was a pleasant capper to our meal.
