Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is unfiltered light amber, head is off white/light tan, head presents 1 finger thick then dissipates to solid top, some lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is blend of vienna/munich malt base with toast, biscuit, caramel (light), and grapenuts, slight hoppy herbal/grassy quality.
Taste is vienna/munich malt base - toast, caramel, bread, grapenuts, hoppy grassiness, lighter herbal notes - really solid bready, malt beer - unfiltered quality lends it self to smoothing the strength of it.
Mouthfeel is low to moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, lower bitterness.
Overall a really nice, drinkable unfiltered marzen style beer - really hits the malty marks well, sneaks in at 7.5% abv with great drinkability.
