Water Tower Wild Cherry Sour from Bullfrog Brewing. 12 oz glass for $6 at the brewery. Reviewed 28/06/23 (Review 3131). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at bar cooler temperature.
Appearance – 4.
Body – Medium Red, hazy. Under direct light, same. When rear lite, red.
Head: Average (Maximum one cm), low density, pink, quickly diminishing to a 0.3 cm crown and no cap.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 4.5 – Cherry! No yeast, no hops. No ethanol (7.5 % ABV, according to the beer menu).
Flavor – 4.5 – Begins slightly sweet and distinctly cherry. No yeast, no hops. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No gastric warming.
Palate – 4 – Thin; watery; lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Hardly tastes or smells like a sour, but I suppose it technically is. Certainly, more of a cherry pop than cherry cough syrup. Had two and would have had more but I still had a couple more hours of driving.

5 oz mini-snifter pour at the brewery. Pours medium red with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature cherries and sweet vanilla on top of a golden sour ale base, with just a hint of funk and oak tannins. Mouthfeel is dry. Overall it's a tasty beer but I would prefer less sweetness.
