A bourbon barrel aged version of the DCS. This is a mighty fine beer on it's own and now you go adding bourbon into the mix, Lord help me!
A-Deep, light absorbing black with a volumous tan head that slowly reduces to a pillowy cap and left very heavy caking lace. An absolute beauty of a brew.
S-An incredible combination of Bourbon sweetness and bitter, dark roasted coffee. An absolutely amazing one, two punch to the olfactory!
T-Massive Bourbon notes overlying the delectable coffee bitterness. Vanilla, oak, dark roast, espresso and oak all vye for your attention! This is absolutely delicious stuff. Light astringency in the finish.
M-Medium to medium-heavy bodied and VERY smooth. This stuff is bordering on being like a 18 year old aged coffee infused Bourbon versus a Bourbon barrel aged beer. Velvety smooth, viscous and lucious.
D-Wowzers! This is amazing stuff. I was warned by FooFaa that this stuff was delicious and he was correct, it is! Argubly one of the finest barrel aged stouts I have EVER had. Thank goodness I could make it to the Bullfrog Holiday Party where they had this as one of the offerings! If nothing else this amazing brew was quite the Christmas present!
