Picked up a growler for a weekend of house work: poured into a pint glass, color is straw, hazy, head is bright white, presenting about 1/2 inch thick at first then disappearing to a ring.

Smell is mainly pilsner malt then some subtle grassy hops and grain.

Taste is more of a blend of some citrusy hops and pilsner malt with bready notes and crisp bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is a bit sharp on the tongue with some strong dryness.

Overall a good bitter pilsner that is very drinkable.

Crisp and fresh. Super sessionable. Something a bit funny after the first swallow -- not sure if that was the diacetyl mentioned by the other reviewer. Didn't notice it after the first few sips. Great quaffing beer for a hot day (like the one on which I enjoyed it).

$5.75 for the pint. Sampled 23JUN14.

[A] Nice fluffy white head with great staying power. The body is about as light yellow as you can make with grain but clarity is poor as the body is very foggy.

[S] Ughh, diacetyl. Light hop contribution. Fruity, lemony. Hop aroma is not entirely unlike Fruit Loops.

[T] Mirrors the nose with a light touch more graininess. Low hop flavor. Bitterness is way too low as well.

[M] Low-end carbonation. Not crisp. A little watery.

[O] Diacetyl will ruin any beer and this one is no exception.

Draft offering at Bullfrog served in a standard pint. The brew appears a clear golden yellow color with finger of white froth. Some spotty webbing of lace sticks to the glass as the cap fades.

The aroma is grainy sweet like cereal but fresh and inviting with notes of grass and sulfur contrasting. The taste too is grassy with notes of sweet grains and a pleasantly clean bitterness across the finish. Somewhat herbal all through the middle.

This is a medium to light bodied brew. A crisp finish with moderate to light carbonation level. Somewhat watery at times but the name is fitting -this quite drinkable if you arnt in the mood for flavor bombardment.

I agree with the Slatetank, this is an excellent beer. Had at the Selinsgrove Fester very recently on a tip from Jan, a friend from Lancaster BrewCo. Without being agressively flavored, this was a tasty and satisfying pils. The wonderful hops/malt tension was diffused by a bouyant mouthfeel. As the name says, an incredible session and summer beer. Great job, Nate !

Thanks to tenderbranson69 for sharing this on his bday -enjoyed chilled from the growler in a willybecker.

The color is golden with mild haze and thin cap of white with small bead, the lace sticks in a splattered pattern. The smell is herbal and mildly malty with slight bready tinge and gentle floral hop notes. The feel is good with some nice bitterness that is smooth with lighter medium body with moderate carbonation and semi-dry resinous texture the finish is slightly more bitter than sweet.

the taste is very good with plenty of pilsner malt and saaz hops with a nice bitter flavor with herbal notes and slight toasted grain tinge with mild spice and light yeast fruitiness. The overall drinkability is very high, this is a refreshing and quaffable lager.
