Thanks to tenderbranson69 for sharing this w/ carlos and me, enjoyed from the growler in a 1/2 pint glass.
The color is slightly murkey brown like dark coffee with a splash of creamer mixed in. The head is thick but settles quickly with small beading. The smell is very toasted almost like cocoa with some earthy sweet aromas. The feel is a little bit off with moderately low carbonation, somewhat yeasty tangy and sweet middle to finish, lacks some crispness and dryness, but still decent.
The flavor is toasted bread with some mild caramel and slight dried fruit with mild ripe banana in the background, not very much in the way of bitterness to balanced the sweetness, but the flavor of the malt is nice with slight toasty earthy sweet flavors. Overall not a bad beer, but I don't think it is the best of the style that I have had. I would drink it again, but a little filtration and/or extended lagering may have benefited this beer.
