This beer poured out as a nice looking clear red color. The head was a light shade of tan that bubbled up nicely and held a faint amount of retention. The smell of the beer has a pretty traditional Belgian aroma to it. The yeast and malts come together in a typical fashion. The flavor of the beer has a light wooden like taste to it, there is a some toasted malts in there too, not much in the way of a strong bitterness. The mouthfeel was lighter bodied and smooth with a good amount of carbonation left in the growler. Overall this beer was fun to try, I wouldn't seek it out again but I was glad I got to try it.
