Draft offering at the source served in a snifter. The brew appears a clear color of purple with a thin white head. Some small patches of lace hang with strings on the glass and a penline of lace collects around the perimeter of the glass.

The smell is fruity with an earthen appeal and mild alcohol ester. Quite mild overall other than that faint fruity quality of berries that are not immediately recognizable without knowing about the blueberry inclusion beforehand.

The flavor includes notes of tangy wheat and a bit of tannic dryness with earth. Some herbal earthy btterness and mild alcohol are noted across the back as the brew warms up.

This is a light bodied brew with an effervescent level of tingly carbonation. Overall not bad but includes a more forward wheat inclusion than expected with almost a cracker to cob web sort of bretty feel as it warms up.

On tap. pour is dark reddish orange with tons of creamy tight light tan head. Nose is nice, strong Brett presence of leather and sock with a hint of citrus. Blueberries are well integrated and do not over power the flavor but add a strong element. Taste is a touch less bright on the Brett, a touch more sock and less leather towards the back. Blueberries are well balanced within and a touch sour in back. Body is well carbonated, lighter and semi dry in the finish. Solid stuff!

Had this once a few months ago and it was fantastic. This review is for the newest batch that I have tried. On tap at Bainbridge during beer week.

A: decently carbonated, some head that left a ring around the glass, slightly dark orange-red color

S: butter all over the place

T: mostly butter, a bit of sour, then some malt

M: about as expected except that it had none of the teeth etching sourness I wanted

O: not good at all. About 6 of us tasted this and immediately though that it was straight buttery. Something must have gone wrong in this batch, because the last time I had this it was delicious. At first we thought that maybe the tap line wasn't cleaned, but the Jong Grrz tasted of the same buttery flavor, and we had multiple glasses of Blue Condition.

on tap at bainbridge barrel house - served in snifter

Pours copper with a blueish tint, thin beige head rests on top and fades with a few spots of lacing.

Juicy blueberries in the nose with sour edges and a slightly sweet backbone. Acidity, oak and a touch of vinous character with a soft warmth.

Plenty of fruit-forward sourness riddled with blueberries and a light note of oaky wine. Jammy and a little sweet, decent backbone with continuing near-lactic sourness. Finishes slightly warm with more blueberries.

Medium body, well carbonated, bubbly and sticky on the tongue. Quality fruit-based wild ale, I'd definitely like to drink more of this.

Shorter than usual review...

Served in a snifter. Great off white head that shows some lacing. Amber body with good clarity. Red hues throughout. Not showing much carbonation.

Smell is a mixture of light berry aroma, sweet malts, caramel. Nothing dominating the smell though, and leaves a weak impression.

Taste is not very sour. Flavor of fresh blueberries and some sourness, though nothin too intense. The aftertaste is where this beer shines IMO. Really fresh fresh blueberries. Absolutely delicious.

Good body and good carbonation.

Really like this beer and wish they would bottle it for sure!

A – Light pink nice bright white head which subsides into a ring off bubbles around the top of the glass.

S – Acidic blueberry, plenty of tart funkiness.

T – Tart blueberry, nice acidic bite. Small hints of cherry, maybe from the strain of Brett used. Some funk on the back end.

M – Very prickly, not overly acidic but just enough. Very smooth and has good carbonation

O – My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this. I would get another growler the next time I’m at Bullfrog for sure.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Dark blue with a creamy head, very lacey. Lambic yeast makes this a nice controlled tartness. Was better when a bit cold, more blueberry than beer at that point. Well malted, it doesn't need that. Looking forward to their future ventures into using this lambic yeast. Nice mouthfeel.
