Reviewed 4/14/2006 (Tap @ Two Rows Brewpub, Houston, TX):

Pours a golden light yellow colored body, with no head. Has virtually no aroma, some malts. I added the lemon to it. Has a very malty taste, with a clean finish and a very fizzy palate. Light taste.

Pale straw color, with decent, frothy head, and fine lacing on the glass. Very little aroma. Flavor is very clean, wheat dominating with a touch of hop bitterness. Tart and refreshing. Not complex, but a nice accompaniment to the most of the items on the Two Rows menu.

Osage Golden Wheat pours a standard light wheat color, with minimal head. Aroma is a solid wheat smell, but a hint of sweetness and citrus. Taste is a nice full-flavored wheat with an enjoyable lemony-sweet finish. Osage was crisp and I believe would work well as a thirst-quencher type beer. I could easily drink plenty of these, but in the big picture this isn't too exciting, it's just pretty good like most Two Rows offerings.

Pours a clear golden color with very little head that soon disappears entirely. Nose is very faint sweet malt. Taste is a bit sweet up front but is dominated by an astringent hop finish. This is supposed to be a wheat beer? It is crisp and refreshing, but it’s not like any wheat beer that I’ve ever had.
