First experience with Neptune's..

P - cola w/ a small light tan head
N - bold; coffee and nutty notes with a light-med sweetness; inviting; notable
T - sweet coffee and cream; light cocoa to boot; delicious
Mf - light-med bodied; soft-med carb; velvety smooth
O - an excellent coffee stout; really exceeded my expectations

Apperance- The beer is served a dark brown, nearly black color with a one finger head of tan foam. The head fades away slowly to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is massive of coffee and roasted malt. Along with these smells comes a little bit of vanilla and some aromas of brown sugar and creme.
Taste - The taste begins with a nice roasty a d coffee flavor mixed with a bit of creme and vanilla. As the taste advances the sweetness grows with more vanilla, brown sugar, and caramel coming to the tongue. The coffee ups itself a bit more toward the end, and with the increase in sweet and some light grainiess coming to the taste, one is left with a somewhat drier and nicely roasty, but lightly sweetened coffee taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side for a stout of 6.2%, with a carbonation level that is low. For the drier coffee taste the feel is actually very good and makes for a good drinking coffee stout.
Overall- I rather enjoyed it. A good, coffee stout without too much sweetness.

Perfectly opaque, almost black body with a small marshmallow white head.

The first time I had this, it was on tap at Local Kitchen & Bar in Billings MT. This time, it’s from a bottle into a tulip glass. Seems to be bottled on 07/16/18 - 9 days ago!

Flavors are great. Very light cola at the beginning, followed by sweet malt and ending with some difficult to distinguish hops. Very smooth, silky and sweet overall.

Really, really enjoy this beer!
