From my notes on 9/24/11 brewery visit. This beer was representative of the American ales we sampled.
Appearance: Clear gold, no head what so ever. Carbonation was problematically low on all beers, beyond just a style choice. They did not form a head and let's face it, not hard to force carbonate a beer.
Aroma: Medium-low American hop aroma with neutral malt. Just not much there.
Flavor: Follows aroma, not much there. Med-low hop bitterness, med-low hop flavor, neutral malt & yeast contribution. I think the Pale Ale might have been a touch hoppier but it also suffered from a kiss of butteriness.
Mouthfeel: Light-medium, looking for fuller character. More CO2 would increase impression of mouthfeel.
Overall: Just not impressed with this beer or most of the beers we tasted at this brewery. I just flash back to stale fryer oil hanging in the air and sticking to our cloths. We could still smell it that night in the hotel. Yuck.
Also, of the nine beers we sampled, three are listed as retired . . .but they are not. Check the archived reviews which I still agree with in 2011.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
