Evans Original Lager. 12 oz bottle.
appearance: A nice dark color.
Head: Good head, held the glass well
Taste: Well, it was pretty tasty. I can't really compare it to another beer or rather I won't since that detracts from one beer or the other so I'll say this. It has a slight hoppy taste and you can tell it used some decent barely.
I rate the taste as a 4 out of 5. Which is a high score. But we are talking about a Lager. A plain old everyday lager and I tend to think of lagers in terms of Bud. Evans was formulated in the L.A. area and the brewing is farmed out to mexico. Which really doesn't matter in that the formula is American so to me this is an American Lager despite being brewed in mexico. Not that it matters because it's all about taste and this is a very nice tasting brew.
I found this in the LA area and now it's made it's way to the central valley in a few spots.
good stuff and i absolutely recommend it.

The pour is a clear light straw color with a nice white head. Nice is a bit sour with some graininess to it and a light straw and yeast note. Pretty basic, mediocre at best pale lager aroma. A definite corn note to it as well. The flavor is similarly lackluster. A mild tartness with corn and grain flavor and very mild sweetness. Essentially no hop character to it. Pretty much what I expected; at least it’s not skunked.

A very nice beer for a common or "simple" style, also considered a commercial style and sometimes minimized due to the mass productions of this kind of beers, this one definitely has not been produced with low quality ingredients or adding extra "cereal" for increasing the production.
A: The color is as a lager should be a golden light body appearance, carbonations is medium, could be richer, and head is medium nothing impressive really with medium dissipation and little traces are on the glass.
S: There is a clear malty backbone there.
T: Again the malty back bone, the barley is really clear and tasty, low hops.
M: Neutral at the beginning and then some little sweetness for a long not bitter ending.
