500 cl brown bottle. Color pale golden, medium head, medium level of carbonation, nice bright spark.

Aroma malty and spicy with a faint touch of sourdough. Start malty, body firm and dry, taste grainy. Hoppy bitterness towards the finish, great hoppy aftertaste - by no means not metallic.

Good beer. I believe Diplomat Light is the very same lager, labeled differently for export purposes.

Stumbled upon a line of beers from this brewery at Moscow's best beer kiosk. Standard Czech half liter bottle with a white and gold label featuring a happy old guy in a long beard, straddling a wooden barrel, with a large lidded beer mug in one hand, the thumb of his other hand sticking straight up and a very happy look on his face. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 5/5/06, I opened it on 8/6/05.

Poured a deep clear gold under a one finge bubbly white head that lingers a bit but only musters a few strands of lace. The nose features mild malt and a distinct metallic tinge from the hops. The mouth is mildly carbonated and fairly light, albeit with a bit of body. We start with a crisp bready malt opening, with a fairly substantial metallic hops backing. The finish is clean and slight bitter, a bit like espresso. The aftertaste is quite dry and crisp. A nice drink.
