No freshness date. Last bottle the store had, and had no idea how much to charge. Got reaaaaly took on this one.
A - Standard pasteurized apple juice, slightly yellow. Hearty piss comes to mind. Major black floaties.
S - Hmm... Port wine, without any sweet notes. Indicates to me that this might be REALLY old.
T - I am sorry, but this can't be right... Watery raisins.
M - Thin, poor carbonation.
D - Not a chance.
I didn't know what to expect from this one, but I sure didn't expect what I got. To the drain god it goes.

This came in a green 12fl.oz.glass bottle with gold neck foil and two labels, the front label depicting a picture of "China's oldest brewery".
It pours a golden amber with a small foam white head. The head dissipates quickly leaving only a tiny ring of bubbles against the glass.
The smell is sweet, caramelly and just a wee bit alcoholic. The flavor mimics the smell, less the alcoholic note. It just goes in sweet, boasts a strong caramel flavor, then just leaves on a slightly dry note. This ABV wasn't listed but I'd guess between 5 and 6%.
Light bodied and a little to sweet for the style IMO, not very enjoyable.
