Tastes a bit like a dark IPA, with its dark-roasted malt backbone. Found in an Ellensburg supermarket-no way to tell how fresh. Good carbonation, little lacing, unfiltered. A very good local brew.

Bottle from Albertsons. Hazy orange copper body with nice fluffy head. Light hoppy aroma gives way to tasty blend of malt and hops. Slightly dry, tart finish. Notes of caramel and toffee. Nice.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed orange amber color with a one finger fizzy white head. The head fades somewhat slowly for its fizzy looking nature, leaving a good level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of a bready and melon smell mixed with some aromas of grapefruit and orange citrus as well. Along with these aromas are some grain and a little bit of a grassy and herbal smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather crisp pilsner flavor with a good showing of cracker and grain mixed with some lighter fruit flavors of orange and a bit of caramel. While light in hop upfront, toward the middle of the taste, some hop of a citrus and grassy nature comes to the tongue. As the taste moves forward to the end more hop comes to the tongue with an herbal and slightly earthy hop joining in with a bit of an increase in the citrus and the grass as well. In the end, with a loss of some of the sweet caramel and a good showing grapefruit coming in, one is left with a rather interesting and rather clean, more dankly hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the more thin side with a carbonation level that is average. For the tastes and slightly more dank hop tastes of the brew the feel is good and creates a rather flavorful, but still easy sipping feel with its 6.5 % abv.
Overall- I rather enjoyed this brew. It was sorta crisp (but not, too, too crisp) with a good, more dankly hopped flavor (but not too dankly hopped flavor) and a rather decent overall drinkability. While not my fav. IPA, it was a rather enjoyable try and drinker overall.
