Nearly transparent golden straw with a generous white head. Head has average retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of crackers and fruity hops. Taste is similar with a very slight hop bitterness. Crisp and clean with a dry finish.

Bomber from Albertsons. Kolsch...hmmm? Was going for an amber or English pale. Medium to dark golden body, caramel malt aroma. Taste too is malty, finishes dry, but I’d never guess Kolsch. While it is tasty, I’d have to knock off points for style..

Attractive bright yellow brew with plenty of foam in the Timmermans goblet. Brewed with Mosaic and Azacca hops, according to the label, and the bottled version is 5.5% ABV. A bit resiny. Berry seeds with a hint of apricot. Slight malty sweetness but an austere finish.
Not as perfumey as the benchmarks for the style. Rather bold hop flavor with the first sip, and then quite bitter in the aftertaste. This is an easy to drink blonde ale with a nice dose of hops, but you wouldn't exactly think of it as a Kölsch in a blind tasting. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Haggen Market in Burlington.
