When you have an insatiable desire for a tasty ale; when you literally want to chew the top off a bottle of beer to get to the contents, that’s a Beer Wolf. This IPA is resinous, without the syrupy sweetness you might expect. A touch of grapefruit rounds out this big IPA. This beer replaces Iron Horse IPA in both branding and flavor. It will be available year round in draught and bottle.
Malt: crystal for balance
Hops: comet, centennial, chinook
Other: pairs with regret and diamonds

Pours an amber/orange in color with a large off-white head. Aroma is malt and a grapefruit bitterness with some sweetness. Taste is strong malt with a grapefruit & lemon bitterness. Good decent IPA. 4 or 5 years old from TW&M.

Bomber from Albertsons. Pours out a cloudy dark amber with thick creamy head . Aroma and taste favor the malts, fark and bready, sea salt caramel. Minor hops bite, a but metallic. Something’s stimulating the salivary glands....More of the English style

Darkish amber with a decent pile of foam in the Wander Brewing snifter. Adequate carbonation in the mouth. A little oily on the tongue. Old grapefruit aroma. Some sweet malt. Current version lists just the Comet and Centennial hops and "pairs with nostalgia & animal instinct."
The first sip yields a kind of an alarming spoiled fruit taste. It gets a little better after some sipping as the grapefruit takes over. Unpleasant bitter aftertaste. Wolf sweat? From the 22 oz bottle purchased at The Market in Anacortes.
