Bottle from Boise Co-op. Clear, dark amber with tight, creamy head. Funky aroma, make, jujubes, licorice, dish soap. Taste is also a melange of flavors, hard candy, butterscotch, hand soap, floral notes. The sweet malt centers it all, bitter notes. Comes together eventually. Name is appropriate. Smoked malts come forward as the beer warms Bamberg -style.

From a bomber. Really nice auburn color, meringue like head with excellent retention. Dark fruit and barnyard funk on the nose. Taste follows. Surprisingly light bodied. Jack of all ales is a good description. Closest category would be a Belgian style dubbel? Whatever it is I really like it!

Taste: Mild smokiness, caramel, a hint of spicy grassiness, mild floral sweetness.
Feel : Medium body and carbonation, mild hop bitterness, quite smooth.
