i didnt realize these guys even had an experimental series until i saw this one on tap. its a hibiscus and lime wheat, and its uniquely proportioned, drinkable, and good overall, but i am learning that these guys really dont make a bad beer. there is a pretty pink color to this, and usually when hibiscus beers look like this, they are way over the top, perfume forward and with the hibiscus coming at the expense of anything else, but despite the color here, the hibiscus is quite subtle, and i actually get more lime out of this than hibiscus, especially in the nose. the lime is fresh zested but not acidic or bitter, and in fact, both of these flavors are quite mild to me. i really like the fluffy wheat base on this, and the dryness overall, its simple really, but they have found a rarely achieved balance between the hibiscus and the lime. light raspberry, rose petal, and tea notes to the hibiscus, and even a little herbal bitterness late, while the lime is natural and bright in here, very fresh, and it makes the finish almost soda-like to me. this is way more summer than fall in its vibe, but the flavors are nice, and for a flavored wheat, its a mighty drinkable brew, way more than these sorts of things usually are in my opinion. pleasant and light and pretty clean for what it is.
