Came from the tap with medium carbonation, and a murky brown appearance. Aroma heavy on nutty and caramel with some hops. The taste was woody, nutty, and semi-sweet. The beer had a dry aftertaste and a medium mouthfeel. It is hard to place this beer into a style firmly. I think of it as a cross between a brown ale, and an amber ale.
This beer won the gold medal in the Georgia Craft Brew Challenge in 2003 in the American Ale category.
