Came from the tap with low carbonation, and an attractive dense black appearance appropriate for the style. Aroma heavy on roasted coffee, and the taste was also dominated by roasty nutty flavors. There was a faint undercurrent of bitter chocolate. The mouthfeel was dry and medium thick. I downed my pint quite easily.

As for appearance, I need not describe it. Pretty typical for a stout. For an Irish style dry stout, it's unusually powerful in flavor. The espesso flavor of the dark malt is strong and there are some underlying caramel flavors and aromas underneath. Since it isn't served on nitro it won't come across quite as creamy as Guinness, but it is more flavorful.
