Sampled at the 7th Annual Kingdom of Fife Beer Festival.

Pours a hazy orangey/amber wtih a minimal heaed. The festival volunteer told me that the brewer was having trouble with the finings. The cask had been settling since Monday and by Friday it was still cloudy. I won't mark that down too much though. Still looked pretty good. Strong citrusy notes with a definite nose of tangerines. Powerfeel tangeriney hop character in the taste backed by some biscuity malts. Very nice and hoppy beer. I've dubbed it an American Pale Ale because it really is much hoppier than the English pale ales and it is brewed using American hops. Very smooth and nice mouthfeel, and a very tasty and drinkable ale.

Note: the brewers notes in the program guide suggest to me that this cask might have been mislabelled, and I was actually drinking Carronade. I will have to check this out.
