Half liter vom fass at the Winkler BräuWirt in Amberg, inside the walls of the Altstadt. Pretty standard German Pils. Crystal clear, big fluffy head, grainy malt bill, even a bit funky from the yeast. Average but delicious.

Drank from a 500ml bottle, 1 month before expiration date.
Appearance: Light golden color; 2-3 fingers of bright white head.
Smell: Lightly hoppy and grassy character. Some musty, wood smell, like something coming from an old barrel. Is this supposed to be here? Either way, I thought it added... something.
Taste: Delicate, discrete, bitterness. Momentarily experienced some green pepper taste and then the above mentioned wood/mustiness.
Mouthfeel: Light-medium body; light to medium carbonation. Slightly sticky aftertaste. Drinkability: A very drinkable, enjoyable, thirst-quenching pils.
