A 500ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2012. Given to me by EmperorBevis a while back - thanks very much!
Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A dark brown hue with reddish hints. Yields a small head of creamy beige foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding. Aroma of roasted malt with hints of chocolate, grain, caramel, subtle dried fruit and faint stewed hops. Nice but understated.
Tastes of dark malt with a dry finish. Notes of roasted grain, caramel, mild coffee, hints of chocolate, a whiff of dried fruit and faint stewed hops. A restrained, malt-driven bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and tingly, with pleasant carbonation. Body feels a tad thin for the style. Aftertaste of bitter roasted malt.
Quite nice, though not mind-blowing. Both the aroma and flavour are well-balanced but lacklustre; more depth of character would be good. The body could also be amped up a little to achieve a creamier mouthfeel. Still, it goes down easily enough and would probably be lovely on cask. Worth sampling if you come across it.

Apperance: Poured into a pint glass is a very dark but not quite black beer. The head is a good one inch in height and is beige in color.
Aroma: Dark fruits, light citrus hop, dark roasted coffee, bready malts, faint banana.
Taste: Roasty, lots of dark fruits. Coffee, minor grapefruit notes. For a stout the mouthfeel is does have a bit of a bready bite citrus hop bite. Faint banana and a little bit of pear towards the back end.
Notes: It's not to shaby of an English stout the dark fruit notes make it pleasantly unique and by all means very drinkable. Cheers.

Pours a cola looking body, mainly near black/very dark brown with reddish hues and thickish tan head
Coffee regular smelling with bitter hints and pontefract cakes.
Quite flowery for a stout roast is perfect pinching the taste buds very complex tastes here hints of perfume and a real note of
parma violets.
Solid thick mouthfeel bit lively for a stout on the carbonation but it works
An unusual but v. tasty stout.
