440ml can into a pint glass. 2024 Anniversary ale.
Outstanding looking beer. Deepest dark reddish amber body, clear when held up to the light. Good small streams of carbonation. Off white head retains throughout, leaving a fat sheet of lacing. Aromas of dried and fresh stone fruit, raisin. On tasting, this has been hopped quite aggressively, there is an earthy bitterness trampling on the sweet dark fruit base. Finish begins with plum notes, before a lasting hop bitterness.
Overall, a damn fine beer, courtesy of my friend Pete, who has worked his way through just about every Westerham offering.
