Stopped in at the Bogota Beer Station the other night. Not too many of their beers on the menu, however, this looked like the starter. Ordered up a litre. Beer arrived with a nice head, good temperature, dark but translucent. What I could see in the low light. Very roasted taste. Carbonation seemed a little high but not overly high. No hopping detectable but a nice roasted malt taste throughout. Very drinkable. Good for someone who likes a flavorful beer without any bitterness to speak of.

I finally got round to trying the beers at the Beer Station which i'd rather left out of the scene. this was no. 1.

The appearance isn't out of the ordinary. reminded me to SN stout right away, because the head was short-lived, although whiter in this case- and the body, while clearly black, was considerably translucid in an amber-ey sort of way.

The smell is weak but corresponds well to the beer: sweet roasted malt, some coffee and chocolate within- though not abundant. a bit of the ABV (which I could finally not find out) refects also, though not very strongly.

The taste is sweet at first, with the malt coming in before you can clearly distinguish a coffee like feel- weak all-in-all- and a very bitter finish, which is consistent to the style. A bit like a porter, too, but then again the boundaries aren't clearly met.

The mouthfeel was a bit disappointing for the sort of beer it's aimed to be. watery, although at a good carbonation. thin-bodied, still worthwhile

As for the drinkability, well, it gets its money's worth, and I could stick to this one all night.
