Commercial description: Malty, toasty, lager-like ale brewed in the spirit of a Vienna lager. I'm entering this as an altbier.
Appearance: Clear brownish copper color with no real head and very little carbonation.
Smell: Nutty aromas and not much else (heck, not much of the nuttiness, either). Toffee in the background.
Taste: Nutty malts and some off metallic twang on the finish. Toffee on the extreme end.
Mouthfeel: Thin and watery, light bodied with weak carbonation.
Drinkability: Are they shooting for Amberbock? Smoothish, but not overly so. So-so drinkability. I wouldn't bother.
