This beer is the second runnings from a batch of Fuel-Cap City's famous imperial stout. Pours a somewhat muddy brown color. Low aroma-you get a fair amount of roasted malt. The flavor was pretty one dimensional. All roasted grain and not much else. Quite grainy and astringent. No hop bitterness at all. Ok body for the style and abv but not much else. I realize theres not much can be done with this as its the 2nd runnings but maybe some hop flavor or aroma would perk this up a bit. I like the idea of them trying something in the way of a "small" beer but it just doesnt get pulled off here.
