Foggy straw-flecked gold. Bright white, tight head of tiny bubbles that slowly drifts downward to a scattering of fine dust, leaving bands of delicate lace. Gentle swirls of the glass recreate the small cap. A few carbonation streams meander upwards. Distinctly crisp hop aromas are both grassy and spicy. Boldly crisp hop bite in the front with plenty of spiciness leads to a firm body thickly padded with hops long through the finish. Fine bubbled carbonation, medium body, and a smooth mouthfeel are pleasing. Spicy hops grab the tongue and hold on tenaciously, long after the glass is empty. As this warms, there is an almost salty edge that appears in the front. The alcohol is veiled, but slowly becomes detectable, while the hops take and hold center stage. The malt makes but a cameo appearance which is fine, however, I would have like it to be just a bit more prominent. This was a nice beer for a Friday afternoon.
