Poured a dark amber-brown- great carbonation and aromas are all over the place. Grassy malts, sweet and savory spices. Aromas of belgian yeasts and whiffs of alcohol. Hops are all but non-existant in the flavor. Sweet like molasses with a beautiful hint of belgian flavors. Dark fruits and earthiness come in on the finish which is nice and sticky while not being thick. Despite all of the flavor, this brew is lighter in body and the alcohol adds a nice warming effect when sipped. Great brew, highly recommended.

Appearance: arrived in a pint glass looking a hazy dark burnt orange with a short 1/2" off-white head. No real lacing develops.

Smell: the nose picks up some mild malt with little else.

Taste: the flavor was dominated by the maltiness, as some faint banana, clove, and nutty spiciness were harder to detect. Very light bitterness and some alcohol was also noticeable.

Mouthfeel: smooth at the start and finish. The aftertaste was long on the sweet malts.

Drinkability: I found myself looking at the beer menu half way through this beer for my next choice, so drinkability is average.

Just tapped today.

The shaker-style pint glass arrives filled with a toasted amber beer with ochre highlights, which is slightly clouded. It has a nice, dirty-white head with some staying power, which eventually reduces itself to a minimal collar leaving nice lacing. The smell is of wheat, cloves, coriander. It is silky smooth with almost no carbonation tingle. Initially the taste is filled with clove, coriander, and some slight floral notes, but they do not dominate. It has some decent malt sweetness in the middle and finishes yeasty with a mild hop bite. Hints of citrus rind are also present.

Initially served too cold, but that is easily remedied. Nice and drinkable.
