The brewery's description is that this is their house Kolsch on steroids- you couldnt tell the difference between the two without tasting them- light ale body with moderate carbonation with a slightly hoppy aroma. Biscuity malts flow from this crystal clear brew. There is definately a difference in taste- hops are very assertive and the bigger malts definately come through in a welcomed alcoholic sweetness. Hops dominate the finish which is dry and somewhat fruity- like a bitter white wine finish with great flavor. Very clean and refreshing and much MUCH better than their regular Kolsch.
