This is a new release from DC Cap City brewermaster, Mike Morris. I got the chance to chat with him briefly about this before a week or so before it became available to the public. It may be similar to the 2006 "Munich Lager" brew, but that was done by a different brewer, and this is specifically called "Bock."

Appears a dark amber color. Brighter in color at the base and the edges when held up to the light. It has a slightly off-white head and leaves some lace. The aroma is characterized by a faint malty scent, with maybe some slight strawberry smell as well. Otherwise, there's not much here in the aroma. The taste is much more pronounced. It's sweet at first, with strong caramel and some notes of orange, with a crisp hop balance to finish it off. It has a noticeably strange sugary aftertaste, which is odd but not bad. On the whole, this beer has a very nice taste. Mouthfeel is thin but smooth, with a tangy carbonation. On the whole, this is a solid brew; not great, but certainly not bad. Another solid, drinkable beer by the boys at Cap City.
