Sampled 7/11/2011 at the Downtown brewpub.
Pours slightly hazy yellow, soft white head, great lacing and retention.
Aroma is grass, a touch of sulfur, light malt, and raw grains.
Flavor is grass and a bit of sulfur again but also oddly nutty. Behind that are some grain and honey qualities along with a slight malty sweetness and a low bitterness. Pretty clean over all.
Body is light and refreshing.

On Tap at the Shirlington location:
An unfiltered Keller Pils
Appearance: Arrives in the glass with a thick and creamy white head topping an unfiltered hazy golden beer. Streams of carbonating bubbles race to the surface. Ample lacing clings to the glass.
Smell: Can you say Saaz? Grassy, herbal Saaz hops dominate the nose with hints of fresh baked bread. Slightly floral.
Taste: Starts with a nice, very light malty sweetness with just of touch of biscuit then the Saaz take over with a really lovely herbal bitterness that lingers long on the tongue well after the swallow. Crisp and refreshing. Finishes dry.
Mouthfeel: Lively carbonation with a medium-thin mouthfeel. Nice and dry.
Drinkability: This might be the best Pils I've had this year. I'd rank it right up there with SlyFox Pikeland Pils or Troegs Sunshine Pils. Too bad its draft only. Nice and fresh with a wonderful bitterness due the crisp and herbal Saaz hops. Super easy to drink. Light in the mouth makes this the perfect summer time beer. I'll definitely be back to grab a growler before its gone. Seek and enjoy. Highly recommended.
