On cask at Capitol City Brewing Co. In Virginia.
The beer is brown hued with hints of ruby, sporting a thick, beige head. Excellent retention and lacing. An all around superb appearance.
The aroma offers some bread, fruit, pie, vanilla, malt/grain.
Nice flavor. Cherry and vanilla work well together. A bold flavor, yet not overbearing. Sweet, but only a bit. It was too easy to work my way through a small glass of this. I am a big fan of both cherry and vanilla, and was more than happy to sample this. Without question the best brew I have yet had from Capitol City.
Soft on the palate. Cask ales excel in the feel department, and this is no exception.
This beer stood out among its mediocre peers. I would have this again.
