Served on tap. Pour is a light brown color, semi-opaque, with a thin collar of head. Aroma is toasted coconut, nutty, sweet roasted malt, herbal/tea notes. Nice nutty /roasted almond flavors, bread malt, coconut, with an herbal finish. Decent brown.

On tap. Look is hazy red brown. Smell is actually tart fruits. Taste surprisingly follows. Aftertaste is a bit of almond joy, but not a ton. I expected this to be a bit more roasty malt, but was rather tart. Almost like the very light stages of a sour. Abv is 7%, and very well hidden. Not my favorite.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy deep reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of coconut, caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, nuttiness, light cocoa, herbal, light dark fruit, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, coconut/almond spice, and light fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of coconut, caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, nuttiness, light cocoa, herbal, light dark fruit, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light earthy herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coconut, caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, nuttiness, light cocoa, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, coconut/almond spice, and light fruity yeast notes; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a good English brown ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt, coconut/almond spice, and light fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.
